'Cheddar Curtain' starts on March 3

ORANGEVILLE - The Northwest Illinois Theater Coalition is bringing the annual "Cheddar Curtain" production, directed by Peter Woodruff, to the Mighty Richland Players theater on Saturday, March 3 and Sunday, March 4, 203 W. High St.

The "Cheddar Curtain" is a compilation of locally-written, one-act plays, songs and comedic skits. The 2012 production will have three original one-act plays.

On March 3, a dessert theater performance will be at 7:30 p.m. and on March 4, a dinner theater performance will be at 12:30 p.m. To purchase advance tickets, contact the theater at (815) 819-1310.

Two other performances are also set. The first performance is at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 24 at the Hanover Township Hall, in the 100 block of Monroe St. For advance tickets, contact the Apple River State Bank at (815) 591-2201.

The second performance is at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25 at the Stockton Elementary School, 236 Pearl St., Stockton. Advance tickets are available at Stockton Banking Center, (815) 947-2000.

The "Cheddar Curtain" is the first of five shows the Northwest Illinois Theater Coalition partners are offering in 2012. The coalition includes Hanover's Back Street Players, Stockton's Plum River Playhouse and Orangeville's Mighty Richland Players.
