BRODHEAD — Brodhead United Methodist Church is planning their fall schedule and has the following upcoming activities:
A 9 a.m. Aug. 5 at worship there will be the College Student Blessing. Anyone returning to college this fall is invited to attend for a special blessing before the semester begins.
The last Praise Service for the summer will be Aug. 8. Weekly Wednesday night services will begin Sept. 12. From 10:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Aug. 11 middle and high school students will be at Piggly Wiggly running the food stand as a fundraiser for their Winter Retreat.
At 6:30 p.m. Aug. 16 the Pet Blessing Service will be held. Those attending are encouraged to bring their pets to the grass lot for a short blessing.
At 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 all students and teachers returning to school are invited to bring in their planners and backpacks to be blessed for the fall semester. After worship, there will be a Prayer Walk around the neighborhood.
At 1 p.m. Aug. 25 there will be an overnight Family Campout. Family, tents and campers are welcome.
At 9 a.m. Sunday, Aug. 25 is Bring Your Tractor to Church day. All sizes, colors and age tractors are welcome. There will also be a Hay Ride following church, weather permitting. At 10:30 a.m. Sept. 8 children will be the Pig Food Stand at Covered Bridge Days.
The fall schedule officially kicks of Sept. 9. We will have a special part of worship for students, teachers and helpers. At 10:15 a.m., we have registration for Sunday School, Wednesday youth groups, Adult Bible Studies, volunteer opportunities and some fun.
