Art on the Pec
“River Dancer” by Nana Schowalter is one of the outdoor art exhibits that can be viewed by boat Aug. 4 and 5 along the Pecatonica River between Blanchardville and Argyle. Some artwork also may be viewed at Thunder Bridge, Yellowstone Golf Course and the Argyle boat launch.

ARGYLE — Pecatonica Pride Watershed Association will be presenting Art on the Pec, a free, self-guided, art tour by boat along a stretch of the Pecatonica River. The 6.5-mile paddling route begins at Thunder Bridge boat launch on River Road, five miles south of Blanchardville, and ends at the Argyle boat launch on W. Milwaukee St. 

Artwork created by 10 local artists will be on display from dawn Aug. 4 until 3 p.m. Aug. 5. Some of the art also may be viewed from land at Thunder Bridge, Yellowstone Golf Course and the Argyle boat launch. More details can be found at www.driftlessanalyticalservices.com/aotp. 

In support of Art on the Pec, Historic Argyle invites the public to a community potluck at 5 p.m. Aug. 4 at Saxton House, 204 N. State St.

Pecatonica Pride Watershed Association is a collaboration of community groups, farmers, fishers, landowners and river lovers working to improve and promote the Pecatonica River and its trout streams between Blanchardville and Argyle.
