The couple have three children: Kevin (fiancé, Rose Doyle) Kent, Shullsburg; Darren (Kelly) Kent, Galena, Ill.; and Angela (Mark Rode), St. Charles, Ill. The couple have eight grandchildren.
They will be celebrating with an open house from 4 to 8 p.m. July 5 at Stagecoach Event Center, Apple River, Ill. The couple asks that gifts be omitted.
