Bernard and Ruth Gibbons are celebrating their 65th wedding anniversary with an open house from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 31, at the American Legion Club in Monroe. The open house will be hosted by their children.

They were married Sept. 4, 1943 by the Rev. E. C. McCollow.

There will be live music, food and refreshments. All are welcome. The family requests no gifts.
