ALBANY - Albertson Memorial Library, 200 N. Water St., is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair fundraiser from 1 to 7 p.m. every day this week through Friday.
The fair sells new and popular children's titles in formats including board books, hardcover and paperback picture books, chapter books, and novels.
Local businesses in Albany display All-For-Books collection containers on behalf of the library for the entire week of the fair to help raise additional money. Scholastic matches All-For-Books money with a donation of up to one million books to two national nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping kids and families in need.
Customers may purchase books at the fair as donations to the library.
Proceeds from the Scholastic Book Fair go toward purchasing new Scholastic books for the library's children's collections in support of children's literacy and programming.
For more information, contact Kara Blue, director, at 608-862-3491.
