ASHLAND - Amber Lynn Phillips, Albany, has been awarded the Lake Superior Academic Excellence Scholarship by Northland College, Ashland.

The daughter of Phern and Todd, Phillips is a senior at Albany High School. She is involved in a variety of activities including cross country.

Phillips intends to pursue a degree in biology.
