WHITEWATER - The Brodhead girls basketball team pulled out a 42-36 Rock Valley Conference crossover win over Whitewater on Thursday.
The Cardinals (6-2, 5-1 Rock Valley South) jumped out to an 11-6 lead and built a 24-15 halftime lead.
Whitewater rallied to pull to within 30-29 after three quarters, but the Cardinals held on.
Brodhead senior Kristen Ruchti and junior Dana Lewis each scored a team-high 13 points. Fellow senior Alyssa Harding added eight points, including two 3-pointers.
Brodhead hosts Evansville on Tuesday, Jan. 13 and Palmyra-Eagle on Friday, Jan. 16.
