"We knew Marie Fitzgerald was a very skilled player," Monroe coach Miriam O'Neill said. "It was a real battle. It was a very exciting game."
Senior Molly Hlubek was assigned the chore of defending Fitzgerald. Hlubek injured her ankle and was forced out of the game.
