FREEPORT - Monroe junior Skylar Lassen, sophomores Grace Keith and Maddie Hammer each had a hand in winning four events to propel the Monroe-New Glarus girls swim team to a 108-60 dual meet win over Freeport Saturday.

Monroe-New Glarus dominated the meet winning 10 of the 11 events. With the win, Monroe-New Glarus improved to 2-0 in dual meets.

"The girls swam with confidence," Monroe-New Glarus coach Linda Moser said. "They know have their second win, which is more than we have done as a team in five years. Our focus is to do better than last year and so far the girls are right on track. The last three meets will build their confidence as they go up against some of the powerhouses in the Badger South Conference."

Lassen won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2 minutes, 9.08 seconds and she finished first in the 100 backstroke (1:07.10). Hammer won the 200 individual medley with a time of 2:29 and finished first in the 100 breaststroke (1:16.30). Keith won the 50 freestyle (27.19) and the 100 butterfly (1:08.14).
