13 Cards earn top honors

BRODHEAD - The honors keep rolling in for the Brodhead-Juda football team.

The Cardinals had 13 players at 17 positions and one coach receive Rock Valley South All-Conference honors recently.

Brodhead-Juda had seven players earn first team all-conference honors. Brodhead-Juda senior Jesse DeLorme was first team all-conference at running back and linebacker. Senior David Earleywine was a first team all-conference quarterback, and senior Levi Frost was a first team wide receiver. The other first team selection on offense was senior offensive lineman Evan Marchant.

DeLorme has rushed for 1,414 yards and 25 touchdowns. Earleywine has passed for 1,225 yards and 12 touchdowns, and he also has six rushing touchdowns.

Senior Joey Jordan was first team all-conference at defensive end and second team at tight end. Senior Trenton Jordan was selected to the first team at defensive back and to the second team as a running back.

Senior Josh Dougherty was the first team all-conference kicker. Gary Larsen was named the conference assistant coach of the year.

The other second team all-conference selections include junior offensive lineman Colton Baertschi, senior linebacker Brandon Bauman, junior linebacker Hunter Colden and Frost at defensive back. Conner Olsen, Ethan Voights and Trent Gerlach each received all-conference honorable mention.

Big Foot's Luke Kahl was named the conference's lineman of the year and Big Foot's Kenneth Walker was named the running back of the year. Big Foot coach Rodney Wedig was named coach of the year.

Brodhead-Juda (10-2) will play Wrightstown in the WIAA Division 4 state semifinals at 1 p.m. Saturday, in Ripon.
