Myrtle Patricia “Pat” Grinnell, age 89, of Monroe passed away on Friday, April 15, 2022 at Rachel’s Choice, Assisted Living. She was born the daughter of Byron and Frieda (Elmer) Willison on January 12, 1933 in Richland Center. She was united in marriage to Lester M. Grinnell on August 26, 1949 at St. John’s United Church of Christ in Monroe; he preceded her death on September 10, 1977.

Myrtle took pride in caring for her home and her family. She was a member of The Potter’s House Church UPCI.  She enjoyed crafts, wordsearches, playing solitaire, reading, and listening to scripture.  She was also a big fan of John Wayne.

She is survived by her eight children, Ann Grinnell, Lonnie (Brenda) Grinnell, Keith Grinnell, Robin (Lee) Crum, Billy (Darlene) Grinnell, Dena (John) Newenhouse, Tina Grinnell, and Stacy (Amy) Grinnell; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and sister, Beverly Morrison.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Lester Grinnell, Jr; sisters, Juanita Coplein and Judy Grossen; brother, Victor Willison.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Thursday, April 21, 2022 at The Potter’s House Church with Rev. Chris Schmidt and Rev. John Putnam co-officiating.

 Visitation will be held on Thursday from noon until the time of service at the church.  In lieu of flowers memorials can be made to The Potter’s House Church.  The family would like to extend a special thank you to dear friend Cindy Rice, all of the staff at Rachel’s Choice, Monroe Clinic Hospice, and Pat’s many friends at The Potter’s House.
