Ida May Hudson-Wilder, age 93, of Monroe passed away on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. She was born on May 1, 1925, the daughter of Vivian and Elizabeth (Sheeks) Gee in Pardeeville. Ida was united in marriage to Paul B. Hudson on February 10, 1941 in Chicago; together they shared 61 years and raised seven children and fostered 17 children, he preceded her in death in 2003. Ida later married Robert “Bob” Wilder on October 6, 2005, their families shared seven loving years together before Bob’s passing in 2012.

Ida was employed at Barbara Coleman for 11 years. She enjoyed playing cards, camping, and spending time with her family and friends. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Sycamore, IL.

Ida is survived by her children, Sharon (Jay) Studemann, Kenneth (Debra) Hudson, John (Kristi) Hudson, Joyce (John) Murphy, Mark Hudson, Jim Hudson and Russell Hudson; 20 grandchildren, Susan, Paul, Kathy (Thomas), Kimberly, Kevin (Jenny), Jennifer, Matthew, Michael (Brooke), Nathan, Elisha, Sarah, Michael (Cyndi), Steve (Juliana), Erica, Zachary, Spencer, Harper, Christopher, Savannah, and Kelsi; 23 great-grandchildren; stepchildren, Larry (Jayne) Holley, Judy (Bob) Butler, and Randy (Mary) Wilder; sisters-in-law, Doris Hetchler and Shirley Hudson; as well as several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husbands; two brothers, Vernon and Joe Gee; twin sister, Ila Hadley; and granddaughter Lona Jean.

A Celebration of Ida’s life will be held on Saturday, August 25, 2018 at the Cortland Community Park, 70 S. Llanos St. Cortland, IL from 1:00-4:00PM. Burial will take place in South Burlington Cemetery in Maple Park, IL at a later date. Shriner Hager Gohlke Funeral Home of Monroe, WI is assisting the family.
