Arleen (Johnie) R. Lehr, age 87 of Monticello, passed away at SSM Health in Madison on Saturday, August 23, 2026.

Johnie was born on March 31, 1939 in Stoughton, WI to Clarence and Adeline Johnson. She graduated from Edgerton High school. She met her husband, Dick, roller skating at the Evansville Roller Rink. They were married on April 4, 1959 at the Little Brown Church in Nashua, IA in a double wedding ceremony with their friends, Gibby and Karen Disch.

Johnie worked hard on the family farm with Dick and instilled important life values in her children. Over the years, she enjoyed motorcycle rides with Dick and friends, with her last ride at the age of 82 all the way to Sturgis sitting behind Dave on the bike. She loved speeder car and train rides, working the hay sales in Monticello, bowling, crocheting, reading, doing puzzles and of course, every single trip to a casino that she got to take. Johnie loved spending time with her family and friends, meeting new people and sharing how she got her nickname with everyone that asked.

Johnie is survived by her daughter Deb (Dale) Losenegger of Omro, WI; sons, Dave (Amy), Dean (April), Doug (Julie Bidlingmaier) all of Monticello; 10 grandchildren, Eric Losenegger, Sara (Dan) Fedderly, Dan (Alyssa) Lehr, Jacob (Larissa) Gafner, Valerie (Colin Pesch) Koelbl, Natalie Lehr, Megan (Dez) Hanenberger, Erin and Niki Lehr, and Dalton Lehr; 10 great grandchildren Cael, Gehrig, Hannah, Gavin, Addelyn, Devin, Dylan, Davison, Sullivan, and Francis; her sisters, Marion Rusch, Florence Hefty, Julie Haines and Mary Jo Harried; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Dick; her parents, her mother and father-in-law; brothers, Paul, Clarence Jr. and Roger; and sisters, Lori, Virginia and Carol.

A celebration of Johnie’s life will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026 from 11:00AM to 2:00PM at the Pink Heifer in Monticello.
