Prior to that, for four years, she was the editor of The Gazette of Pecatonica and Winnebago, Illinois, and the Tempo of Byron, Illinois.
Massingill has a bachelor of science degree in communication technologies with an emphasis in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.
She is a previous staff member of Morris Newspaper Corporation of Wisconsin having served as a reporter for the Darlington Republican Journal, Platteville Journal and the Tri-County Press of Cuba City. The Monroe Times is a publication of Morris Media of Monroe and a subsidiary of Morris Newspaper Corporation of Wisconsin.
