MONROE - A Sun Prairie man was identified Wednesday as a suspect in a burglary at a Monroe business on Sept. 7.
The suspect is Robert James Olson, 22, a white man about 6-foot-1 and weighing about 275 pounds with brown hair and blue eyes.
A person resembling Olson was recorded by store security cameras in the morning hours of Sept. 7 breakng through the glass door of Discount America Hobby & Motor-sports in the 1000 block of 3rd Avenue in Monroe on Sept. 7 and leaving moments later with a large remote-controlled car that the store says is worth $1,500.
Darren Wellman, manager of Discount America, said the burglar had entered the store the day before the burglary during regular business hours. Wellman said the burglar had noticeable tattoos on his arms and chest.
Olson has several pending retail theft charges filed against him in Waukesha and Milwaukee counties.
