MONROE - The 12th annual Lighted Christmas Parade will kick off at 6 p.m. Friday, Dec. 6 on the Square.
Following the parade, Santa will be at Wisconsin Bank and Trust, 1717 10th St., to meet and greet kids. Treats, crafts and pictures with Santa will be part of the reception, which is sponsored by the Monroe Noon Optimists.
Main Street Monroe, Monroe Clinic and Lamers bus service are sponsoring Christmas Lights bus tours around the city to see Monroe's most festive homes. Tours will be departing from the Monroe Public Library at 5, 6, 7 and 8 p.m. Dec. 6.
Advance tickets will at Rainbow Confections on the Square for $5 per person until Thursday, Dec. 5. Tickets will be available the evening of the event at the library. Children under 2 can ride for free of charge when sitting on their parents' laps.
