MONROE - Monroe Clinic is hosting an open house June 4 of the new Hospice Home located at N3252 County N in Monroe.
Tours for the public are scheduled from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. with a free shuttle service available at Wal-Mart, 300 6th Ave. West, Monroe, to take attendees to and from their cars.
The open house is a self-guided tour of the facility created with more than $2.8 million in community donations. The fundraising effort - organized and led by Monroe Clinic and Hospital Foundation - began in spring 2016 with ground breaking in fall 2016.
Open house visitors will see a facility designed to maximize the quality of life for hospice patients. Large windows capitalize on the beauty of the woodland setting, allowing for natural light to filter into the resident rooms and the great room. The tour includes access to the spacious residential suites, complete with private patio, meditation room, great room, family kitchen with dining area and spa bath center. Hospice staff and volunteers will be on hand to answer questions and share more about Monroe Clinic's hospice services.
