Monroe man charged with making meth

MONROE - A Monroe man has been charged with manufacturing methamphetamine after drug enforcement agents discovered a homemade meth lab in a Juda residence on Dec. 14.

James Bearer, 35, faces a Class F felony charge of manufacturing methamphetamine and charges of possessing and disposing of methamphetamine waste, both Class H felony charges.

According to the Green County Sheriff's Office, agents of the State Line Area Narcotics Team executed a search warrant on Dec. 14 at a residence in the N2000 block of County OK, Town of Juda, where they discovered 26 methamphetamine manufacturing bottles, as well as several other meth manufacturing materials.

Bearer first appeared in Green County Circuit Court on Dec. 17, where his signature bond was set at $10,000. He signed the bond the next day.

Bearer will next appear in court for a preliminary hearing on Jan. 6.
