MONROE - The city of Monroe is hosting an informational meeting from 5 to 6 p.m. Wednesday at City Hall to discuss the 8th Street Reconstruction Project, set to begin this summer.
Fehr Graham Engineering and Environmental will give a presentation. The meeting is to familiarize the public with project and address any concerns, according to a news release from Fehr Graham.
The project is set to improve 8th Street between 6th Avenue West to the 700 block. Changes will update the roadways at a number of intersections, increase the curb length of the right-hand turn from 8th Street onto 4th Avenue West for semi-trailers, and install more responsive traffic lights.
