MONROE - An Evansville man was charged Wednesday with repeatedly sexually assaulting a Belleville teen in 2015.

Tyler Joseph Schnell, 25, faces a Class C felony charge of repeated sexual assault of the same child and two Class D counts of child enticement.

Schnell was charged in Green County Circuit Court after Department of Justice investigators discovered a series of Facebook conversations between him and the victim. According to a police report, Schnell and the victim met via Facebook in 2015.

The conversations between the two included several sexually explicit photographs.

In April of 2015, Schnell met the victim at her home before they engaged in sexual intercourse. During the next two weeks, the pair met twice more.
