ELK GROVE TOWNSHIP - A rural Cuba City man was killed after being entangled in a horse-drawn manure-spreading piece of equipment Friday afternoon in Lafayette County.
Amos King, 22, of Mine Road in rural Cuba City, was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident happened at about 2 p.m. Friday in the 11900 block of Mine Road.
King, an Amish farmer, was operating the slurry-type manure spreader when he became entangled. He was dragged and run over by one of the spreader's steel wheels, according to a news release from the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department.
Cuba City Ambulance, Cuba City Fire and sheriff's deputies responded to the scene.
