Warren 'Craig" F. Thompson, age 52, of Warren, IL passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI.
He was born on April 20, 1956 in Monroe, WI to Richard and Dorothy (Beyer) Thompson. He married Stephanie Dueball on October 14, 1978 in Warren, IL. He was employed at the Monroe Clinic as an information systems tech.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters; Rachel (Jeffrey) Phillips of Stockton, IL and Erin (Chad) Barrett of Lena, IL; three grandchildren, Keegan and Jace Phillips and Jackson Barrett; two brothers, Steve (Marcia) Thompson and Mike (Carol) Thompson, both of Warren, IL; one sister, Wendy (Mark) Schlichting of Indiana; many nieces and nephews and his dog, Jessey.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He was a member of the National Rifle Association, enjoyed target shooting and Mopar Muscle Cars. Craig was an avid air show enthusiast and very knowledgeable about military aircraft. He enjoyed feeding the birds and watching for the Sand Hill Cranes to come back. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and Craig loved his music.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 29, 2008 at 11 a.m. at St. Johns Lutheran Cemetery, Massbach.
Visitation will be Wednesday May 28, 2008 at the Bartell-Leamon Funeral Home from 4 to 8 p.m. Officiating will be Chaplain Tom Chopp. A memorial has been established in his name. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.leamonfh.com.
