Monroe Police

MONROE - No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 7:45 a.m. Thursday at 16th Street and 20th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Hanna O. Knutson, 17, collided with a vehicle driven by Jeanne A. Babula, 58, Monroe. Knutson was cited for failure to yield the right of way. The vehicles received moderate damage. Knutson's vehicle was towed.

Green County Sheriff

MONROE - No one was injured in a one-vehicle accident at about 4:30 a.m. Friday in the N1300 block of Mount Hope Road. Deputies report a vehicle driven by Alberto Sosa-Opoch, 29, Brodhead, failed to negotiate a curve, left the road and hit a support wire for a power pole. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated; driving with a suspended license; knowingly driving while suspended causing property damage; failure to maintain control of a vehicle; a Rock County warrant; and an Albany warrant. He was jailed. His vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.

- A vehicle driven by Bobbie J. Child, 22, Brodhead, collided with a deer at about 9:45 a.m. Friday on Wisconsin 11 near Lumber Yard Road. The vehicle received minor damage.

- A vehicle driven by Shirley J. Davies-Morris, 66, Brodhead, collided with a deer at about 1 p.m. Friday in the N3800 block of Wis. 59. The vehicle received moderate damage.

- A vehicle driven by Gail F. Diehl, 62, Freeport, collided with a deer at about 9:30 p.m. Friday in the N5300 block of Wis. 69. The vehicle received extensive damage and was towed.
