Green County Sheriff

MONROE - A Monroe man sustained a head injury in a two-vehicle accident in the W2300 block of Wisconsin 11/81 west of County OK, Spring Grove Township, at 3:20 p.m. Monday. Jamie J. Muniz, 26, Monroe, was westbound on Wis. 11/81 when a truck bed cover went airborne and hit the front of Muniz's vehicle. A three-foot long support bar from the cover hit the windshield and entered the vehicle, hitting Muniz in the head. The cover became dislodged from an eastbound vehicle being driven by Melissa M. Fischer, 45, South Beloit, due the strong wind gusts. Fischer was uninjured. Her vehicle was undamaged and driven from the scene. Muniz was transported via EMS for medical treatment. His vehicle sustained severe damage and was towed from the scene.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - A deputy responded at 9:50 p.m. Monday to a one-vehicle accident on Wis. 81, Seymour Township. Upon arrival, no one could be found at the scene. The accident remains under investigation. Darlington police assisted at the scene.
