New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS - One person was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 10:30 a.m. Friday at 2nd Street and 8th Avenue. Police report a vehicle driven by Shirley R. Krauss, 78, New Glarus, went through the intersection and hit a vehicle driven by Eileen D. Peppin, 75, New Glarus. Krauss complained of pain and was taken by New Glarus Emergency Medical Services to a medical facility. The vehicles received extensive damage.

• No one was injured in a two-vehicle accident at about 5 p.m. Saturday on 4th Avenue near 2nd Street. Police report a vehicle driven by Kayla S. Spradling, 17, New Glarus, was backing from a parking stall and hit a vehicle driven by Milo G. Parker, 60, New Glarus. The vehicles received moderate damage.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - Scott Morrissey, 43, Belmont, was arrested for drunken driving following an investigation into a hit-and-run that took place at about 1 a.m. Friday in Belmont. He was released pending court.

• A vehicle driven by Anita Schoepp, 41, Blanchardville, hit a deer at about 2:30 a.m. Sunday on Wisconsin 78 in Argyle township.
