Monroe Police

MONROE - Officers responded to a two-vehicle collision in a parking lot in the 700 block of 10th Avenue at about 9 a.m. Friday, July 27. Vehicles operated by Timothy J. Long, 45, Winslow, Ill., and Theresa K. Snyder, 84, Monroe, collided in the lot. One person complained of minor injuries but declined medical attention. There was moderate damage to the vehicles.

MONROE - Matthew W. Streiff, 41, New Glarus, reported no injuries at 12:01 a.m. Friday, July 27, after he collided with a deer on Wisconsin 69 at Exeter Crossing Road in the Town of New Glarus. The vehicle was moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

- Trenen J. Scheidegger, 16, Brodhead, was transported by Brodhead EMS to an area hospital for injuries he sustained in a single-vehicle crash on Mount Hope Road south of Wisconsin 11 in the Town of Spring Grove at 10:56 a.m. Friday, July 27. Scheidegger was northbound when he lost control on the recently pea-graveled pavement. The vehicle rolled over and came to a rest on its wheels. It was severely damaged and towed.

- Harley L. Brager, 18, Evansville, reported no injuries after a single-vehicle crash at 3:44 p.m. Friday, July 27, in the N6500 block of County E in the Town of Albany. Brager was southbound when he veered onto the gravel on the side of the road and lost control. The vehicle veered into the opposite ditch, where it overturned and came to a rest on its roof. The vehicle was severely damaged and towed.

- Justin W. Hartwig, 26, Belleville, was injured but declined medical treatment after an ATV crash in the N8400 block of Tunnel Road in the Town of Exeter at 8:06 p.m. Friday, July 27. He was driving the ATV eastbound, traveling from field to field checking crops, when he lost control of the vehicle along the shoulder of the road. The ATV rolled on top of him, pinning him underneath. He was able to free himself. The ATV sustained minor damage and was removed from the scene.

- No injuries were reported after deputies responded at 4:16 p.m. Saturday, July 28, to a two-vehicle crash on Jeffrey Road at Melvin Road in the Town of Clarno. Kendra S. Clark, 19, rural Monroe, was westbound on Melvin Road when she failed to yield right-of-way to Robert C. Moe, 41, Monroe, who was southbound on Jeffrey Road. Moe's vehicle sustained moderate front-end damage. Clark's vehicle sustained severe front-end damage. Both vehicles were removed from the scene. The crash remains under investigation.
