DARLINGTON - No injuries were reported after a two-vehicle accident on Wisconsin 23, Darlington Township, at 2:53 p.m. Thursday Feb. 20. Cody T. Bennett, 21, Darlington, had parked his 1997 Ford pickup in a private driveway off Wis. 23, because it was disabled. Officer Steve Messner, Darlington Police, had parked at the end of that driveway, on the shoulder of Wis. 23 and activated his emergency lights. Bennett's Ford then rolled forward on the icy driveway and into the Darlington Police Department squad car. The 2010 Ford explorer, owned by the City of Darlington, received moderate damage and was driven from the scene. Bennett's pickup received no damage.
