Green County Sheriff

MONROE - One person was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 3:33 a.m. Saturday, April 7, on County J north of the southern intersection of Buckskin Road in the Town of Monroe. Deputies report Charles T. Randall, 30, Rockton, Ill., was southbound on County J, when he reportedly fell asleep. Randall entered the west shoulder, overcorrected to the left and began sliding sideways across the roadway. The vehicle left the east side of the roadway where it traveled over a culvert and became airborne. The vehicle cleared Buckskin Creek and collided with the far embankment. Deputies had to break a window to free Randall from the vehicle because fuel was leaking and the vehicle was smoking. He was transported by EMS for injuries sustained in the crash. Randall was arrested for operating a moving vehicle while intoxicated, first offense, and cited for inattentive driving. He was released to a responsible party. The vehicle received very severe damage and was towed from the scene. Monroe Fire Department and Green County EMS also responded.

- Nobody was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 10:38 p.m. Friday, April 6 on County D north of Willow Lane in the Town of Exeter. Deputies report a vehicle operated by Lachlann N. Swanson, 17, Belleville, was northbound when a pony entered the roadway and collided with his vehicle. The pony, owned by Shelly L. Johnson, 34, Belleville, was killed. Swanson sustained injuries but declined treatment at the scene. The vehicle received severe damage and was towed from the scene. Belleville Police and Belleville Fire Department also responded.

Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - One person was injured in a one-vehicle rollover accident at 3:45 p.m. Sunday, April 8 on County N in the Town of Wayne. The Wisconsin State Patrol took over the accident; South Wayne First Response and Monroe Ambulance assisted at the scene.

- Adam J. Pinnow, 22, South Wayne, reported striking a deer at 2:03 a.m. Sunday, April 8 on County M in the Town of Wiota.
