Roy F. Rothenbuehler, age 76 of Monroe, Wisconsin, died Monday, September 29, 2008 at his home. He was born on October 9, 1931 in Monroe Township, the son of Jacob and Minnie (Kraus) Rothenbuehler. He attended Dolan School. Roy married Ruth B. Watson on July 29, 1973 at Monroe Bible Church. He was a cheese maker at various factories in Monroe area, after retiring he had a lawn service and worked at the Corner Café in Monroe. Roy was a member of St John's United Church of Christ, Monroe. He served in the National Guard in Monroe.
He is survived by four children; siblings: Geraldine (Wayne) Stamm of Monroe, Rose (Wayne) Withee of Brodhead, Kenneth (Doreen) Rothenbuehler of Janesville, Carol (Clarence) Kaderly of Brodhead and Mary Lou (Thomas Alexander) Edwards of Shullsburg; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and a brother, Roland in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 3, 2008 at St. John's United Church of Christ, with Reverend Gretchen Sylvester officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Monroe. A visitation will be held Friday at the Church from 9:30 a.m. until 11 a.m. A memorial is being established in Roy's name. Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home is assisting the family.
