Ronald "Ron" Cain, age 51 of rural Monroe, Wisconsin, died Thursday, June 26, 2008 at Pleasant View Nursing Home. He was born October 2, 1956 at Tacoma, Washington, the son of Robert and Daisy (Victorino) Cain and graduated from Yerba Buena High School in San Jose, California He served in the U.S. Army Special Forces 82nd Air born Division from 1977 to 1981, serving in the Panama Canal. Ron was a truck driver for Epco Trucking in Monroe, an avid dart player, enjoyed spending time with his friends, and was a caring and compassionate man who was kind to everyone.
Surviving are his companion, Penny Baker of Monroe, WI; sons, Kyle (Jackie) Cain of Nixa, MO, Alfred (Kate) Cain of Everett, WA, and Robert Cain of Everett, WA: brother, Clyde (Joanne) Cain of Springfield, MO; and sisters, Henrietta Yap of Hawaii and Barbara Hope of Las Vegas, NV. He was predeceased by his parents and sister, Leanetta Cain.
A Celebration of Ron's Life will be held from 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe, Wisconsin.
A memorial fund is being established in Ron's memory.
