Robert Lee Olson, age 61 of Brodhead, Wisconsin, formerly of Winslow, Illinois, died Thursday, August 5, 2010 at VA Hospital in Madison. He was born December 13, 1948, the son of Kenneth and Juanita (Howard) Olson and graduated from Monroe High School.
Robert and Cynthia Hartwig were married in 1976. He worked at Industrial Combustion in Monroe until 1992, was a member of the Winslow, IL American Legion, and was a veteran of Vietnam as a Marine.
Surviving is his son, Robert R. (Sheila) Olson of Brodhead and grandson, Robert A. Olson of Brodhead. He is predeceased by his parents and sister, Jane Sedwick.
A Celebration of Robert's Life will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2010 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home, 1455 Mansion Drive and 18th Avenue in Monroe. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery in Monroe.
