MONROE - On Wednesday, Sept. 5:
- Shane E. Rouse, 37, Milo, Iowa, was arrested on charges of battery and disorderly conduct as the result of a disturbance reported at 5:15 p.m. in the parking lot of Burger King, 548 8th Ave. Rouse, his girlfriend and family members were traveling through Monroe on the way home to Iowa. The fiancee of the girlfriend's sister called police to report that Rouse was being disorderly and physically violent. Rouse fled the scene and was taken into custody on Wisconsin 11 in the Town of New Diggings at about 5:50 p.m., after Monroe police alerted Lafayette County deputies that Rouse was wanted on the charges and likely en route home to Iowa. Lafayette County deputies located Rouse and transported him to the county line, where he was turned over to the custody of Green County deputies and then jailed. His signature bond was set at $1,000 the following day in Green County Circuit Court, with the conditions that he not drink and have no violent or abusive contact with the girlfriend or the family members involved. His next court hearing on the matter is Oct. 16.
- A resident in the 700 block of 16th Avenue was advised of the city's limit of three dogs per residence at 9:28 a.m., after police investigated a complaint that a large number of dogs were staying in the home.
- A gray Motorola cellphone was found at Sir Buk's, W5222 County KK, and brought at 9:10 p.m. to the police station. To claim, call dispatch at (608) 329-2400.

MONROE - On Wednesday, Sept. 5:
- Nicole L. Harding, 37, Brodhead, was arrested on a charge of driving while intoxicated after deputies investigated a suspicious vehicle at 10:15 p.m. at the Park Road Dam Pavilion in the N3700 block of Park Road in the Town of Decatur. She was also cited for driving with a prohibited blood-alcohol concentration, driving with a suspended license and drinking open intoxicants in a motor vehicle. She was released to a responsible party pending court.
- Judith A. Bauman, 73, Monroe, was cited for inattentive driving after deputies responded at 2:58 p.m. to a two-vehicle crash with no injuries on Wisconsin 81 just south of the Wisconsin 11 westbound ramp in the Town of Monroe. Bauman's vehicle struck the passenger side of a vehicle driven by Ranee F. Ellefson-Jones, 42, Monroe, as the two drivers traveled southbound on Wis. 81. Both vehicles were moderately damaged and driven from the scene.

DARLINGTON - On Wednesday, Sept. 5:
- Patrick J. Allen, 19, Argyle, was cited for a seatbelt violation and driving without vehicle insurance at 11:01 p.m. on Spore Road in the Town of Argyle. A passenger in the vehicle, Cody A. Young, 19, Argyle, was also cited for a seatbelt violation.
- A deputy took custody at 10:40 a.m. of a bicycle found in the Pecatonica River near Woodford. The bicycle will be stored until the owner can be located. Also turned over to the deputy was a small, portable home safe or lockbox, found several weeks prior in the same area of the Pecatonica River.
- Deputies are investigating a case of a hunting rifle reported stolen from a residence on Wisconsin 23 in the Town of Willow Springs at 6:45 p.m. The owner told deputies the gun had been traded in at a Darlington business and then sold there. The gun has since been recovered.
