MONROE - Theft of a debit card was reported at 10:07 p.m. Friday, Sept. 14, on County I in the Town of New Diggings.

• The theft of a vehicle was reported on Dunbarton Road in the Town of Gratiot at 4:59 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15. The vehicle was later recovered by Monroe Police near the intersection of 12th Street and 20th Avenue. The owner reported driving the vehicle with several passengers and parking it on Dunbarton Road. When she returned, it was gone. Several of the original passengers were named as suspects. The incident remains under investigation.

• A gas drive-off was reported at a gas station on Wis. 11 in South Wayne at 12:23 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15.

On Monday, Sept. 17:

• Kevin R. Liegel, 50, Goldsboro, N.C., was cited for inattentive driving after police responded at 8:09 a.m. to a two-vehicle accident with no injuries at the intersection of 8th Avenue and 6th Street. Liegel collided with a vehicle driven by Mary Jane Grenzow, 46, Monroe. The vehicles were moderately damaged.

• Several lost/found items were reported or turned over to police. An 18-speed bicycle was found at about 8 a.m. in the 2100 block of 8th Street. A pair of women's sunglasses in a case were reported lost somewhere in the downtown area at 10:45 a.m. A cellphone was reported lost at 1:11 p.m. in the 600 block of 16th Avenue. • At 11:27 a.m., a person reported parking in the lot of an apartment complex in the 700 block of 12th Avenue and finding a note on the vehicle warning, "Don't park here or your car will be keyed." The vehicle was later keyed. Police are investigating.

• A gas drive-off was reported at 11:46 a.m. at the Monroe Northsider Mobil, 180 N. 18th Ave. The suspect left the gas station without paying for $49.02 in fuel. The case is under investigation.

• Police are looking into a possible violation of a no-contact restraining order in the parking lot of Monroe High School, 1600 26th St., reported at 12:08 p.m.

• A business on the downtown Square reported at 1:32 p.m. that a window accessible by the roof was damaged. There is no evidence of a theft, but it will cost an estimated $100 to fix the window.

• A landlord reported at 1:51 p.m. that a tenant in the 600 block of 22nd Avenue absconded without paying rent and left damages in the apartment that exceed the security deposit. The case is under investigation.

• A meat thief or thieves broke into a locked garage in the 1500 block of 16th Street and stole about $150 worth of meat from a freezer. The resident reported the burglary at 4 p.m. Police are investigating leads.

• An woman called police at 7:11 p.m. to report that a 17-year-old boy flipped her off while they were in separate cars on Wisconsin 69 at 8th Street. The boy denied giving her the finger and told police he was just twirling his hat with his fingers. Police told both parties to knock it off.

• A mother reported a fight between her 14-year-old daughter and another 14-year-old girl at 8:26 p.m. in the 1700 block of 23rd Avenue. No one wished to pursue charges.
