MONROE - Green County and Dane County deputies responded to a residence in the 200 block of South 1st Street in Brooklyn at 9:13 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, for a report of a disturbance and shots being fired. Steven M. Nault, 47, Brooklyn, was arrested on charges of recklessly endangering safety, disorderly conduct while armed and intoxicated use of a weapon.
Daniel L. Ault, 63, Loves Park, Ill., was cited for driving too fast for conditions and operating left of center after deputies responded to a motorcycle crash on County O north of Old Madison Road in the Town of New Glarus at 4:02 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 29. Ault was southbound when he reported a northbound truck crossed the center line toward him and he swerved to the right to avoid the truck. He then veered back to the left, leaving the road and going through a fence. He was transported by New Glarus Area EMS for treatment of injuries he sustained in the crash. He was wearing a helmet. The motorcycle was severely damaged and removed from the scene by a private party. The New Glarus police and fire departments assisted at the scene.
