ALBANY POLICE

ALBANY - Chad R. Heins, 36, Albany, was cited Saturday for driving with a revoked license.



BRODHEAD POLICE

BRODHEAD - For the week of May 15 to May 21, there were 42 calls for service, 31 citizen assists, 31 security checks, 17 vehicle registrations, eight traffic stops, eight EMS calls, five assists of other agencies, four 911 calls and four fire calls.

On May 15:

• Police issued a warning at 1:29 a.m. to a man with open intoxicants in the 900 block of West Exchange Street.

• A missing juvenile was reported at 4:47 p.m. in the 1500 block of East 5th Avenue. The juvenile was found and returned to a responsible party.

On May 16, a 29-year-old Richland Center man was arrested at 8:59 a.m. for violating a restraining order in the 500 block of East 3rd Avenue.

On May 17:

• Police recovered stolen property from Tarrant County, Texas, in the 100 block of 23rd Street. The case remains under investigation.

• A 17-year-old Brodhead girl was cited at 11:53 a.m. for disorderly conduct and truancy in the 2500 block of West 5th Avenue.

• A scam phone call was reported at 3:51 p.m. in the 500 block of 10th Street.

On Wednesday:

• Police issued a warning at 11:21 a.m. to a person in violation of the Junk Vehicle Ordinance in the 100 block of East 3rd Avenue.

• A gas drive-off occurred at 8:34 p.m. in the 1100 block of 1st Center Avenue. The driver was contacted and the matter was resolved.

On Thursday, a 33-year-old Janesville man was cited at 8:19 a.m. for driving with a suspended license and speeding in the 600 block of 1st Street.

On Friday, a dog at large was reported at 8:41 a.m. in the 1000 block of 21st Street. A warning was issued to the animal's owner.

On Saturday:

• Bail jumping was reported at 3:41 p.m. in the 500 block of East 3rd Avenue. The case remains under investigation.

• A 23-year-old Monee, Ill., man was cited at 7:10 p.m. for speeding in the 100 block of 23rd Street.

• Police responded at 9:50 p.m. to a fireworks violation in the 100 block of 10th Street. The offenders were issued a warning.

• Police issued warnings at 11:16 p.m. to two juveniles in violation of curfew in the 1400 block of 21st Street.



DARLINGTON POLICE

DARLINGTON - DeShawn Carter, 21, Milwaukee, was arrested at 9:27 a.m. Friday on a Department of Corrections parole warrant.



NEW GLARUS POLICE

NEW GLARUS - On May 15, Dane M. Varese, 31, Madison, was cited at 7:20 p.m. for speeding in the 1100 block of Wisconsin 69.

On May 16:

• A parking complaint was made at 7:30 a.m. in the 1400 block of Wis. 69.

• Robert P. Bennett, 28, Monticello, was arrested at 8:50 a.m. for retail theft in the 1400 block of Wis. 69. Bennett was jailed without bond on a state probation and parole hold.

• A fraud report was made at 11:46 a.m. The case is being investigated.

• Police responded at 1:09 p.m. to a civil issue in the 1400 block of 2nd Street. The issue was resolved.

• A dog at large was reported at 3:59 p.m. in the 800 block of 1st Street. The dog was retrieved before police arrived.

• Police took a citizen's fingerprints at 5 p.m. for an employment opportunity.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 8:49 p.m. with an animal complaint in the N8000 block of Valley View Road.

• Cynthia C. Booth, 49, New Glarus, was cited at 10:26 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance on 2nd Street.

On May 17:

• Police investigated a suspicious vehicle at 12:42 a.m. in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• Shane A. Larson, 33, New Glarus, was arrested at 2:04 a.m. for disorderly conduct, battery and strangulation after a domestic disturbance was reported in the 500 block of 6th Avenue. Larson was jailed.

• A case of fraud was reported at 10 a.m. in the village. The case remains under investigation.

• A missing cat was reported at 5:24 p.m. on Haslen Drive. The cat was found.

• Jesse E. Schneiter, 27, New Glarus, was cited at 5:52 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on 6th Avenue.

• Police checked an individual's welfare at 6 p.m. on Heidi Court.

• Dean R. Scoville, 49, Belleville, was cited at 6:04 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• Lydia R. Sprecher, 17, New Glarus, was cited at 6:18 p.m. for improperly stopping at a stop sign at the intersection of Railroad Street and 11th Avenue.

• Casey N. Berndt, 24, Orangeville, was cited at 6:37 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• Larry J. Shifflet, 29, Spring Green, was cited at 6:59 p.m. for a seatbelt violation on Wis. 69.

• A resident reported telephone harassment at 7:50 p.m. from another resident. The case remains under investigation.

• Sydney R. Doesekle, 17, Belleville, was cited at 8:10 p.m. for a violation of license restrictions after being stopped on 6th Avenue. A passenger, Alexander S. Chiarello, 17, New Glarus, was arrested for felony bail jumping and was cited for underage alcohol consumption and driving with open intoxicants.

• Brandee E. Strohecker, 21, Lanark, Ill., was cited at 8:12 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 69.

On Wednesday, a 911 misdial occurred at 9:58 a.m. in the 1800 block of 2nd Street.

On Thursday, police assisted the Belleville Police and the Dane County Sheriff's Department with a subject in Belleville.

On Friday:

• Todd J. Engelhart, 50, Oregon, was cited at 7:12 p.m. for driving without vehicle insurance, in the 600 block of Wis. 69.

• An RV was cited at 7:44 p.m. for obstructing traffic in the 300 block of 2nd Street.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff at 9:57 p.m. with the arrest of an intoxicated driver in the W5100 block of County W.

On Saturday:

• Police cited a vehicle at 3:48 p.m. for being parked in a prohibited area in the 800 block of 2nd Street.

• John G. Mosgaller, 30, Belleville, was arrested at 9:58 p.m. for driving while intoxicated at the intersection of County W and Wis. 69. Mosgaller was jailed.



GREEN COUNTY SHERIFF

MONROE - On Friday:

• Gary D. Harris, 66, Argyle, was arrested at 4:17 p.m. for failing to pay a Monroe Police fine in the W9400 block of Lewis Road, Town of Jordan. Harris was jailed.

• Daniel J. Tarala, 45, St. Louis, was arrested at 9:57 p.m. for driving while intoxicated (first offense) in the W5100 block of County W, Town of New Glarus. Tarala was also cited for driving left of the centerline, driving without vehicle insurance and with a prohibited alcohol concentration. Tarala was released pending court.

On Saturday, a burglary was reported at 12:53 p.m. in the W100 block of King Road, Town of Brooklyn. At some point between May 14 and Saturday, someone had entered the shed and stolen approximately $1,300 worth of power tools. The investigation is ongoing and there are currently no suspects.
