DARLINGTON Police

DARLINGTON - Luis Leon-Martinez, 26, Darlington, was cited for operating without a valid license at 5:57 p.m. Friday after police stopped him on Wisconsin 23.

• Ernesto Zavaleta-Garcia, 27, Darlington, was arrested at 1:13 a.m. Saturday for operating while intoxicated after police stopped him on Galena Street. He was also cited for operating without a valid license and failing to keep his vehicle under control.

• Paul Owens, 46, Darlington, was arrested at 2:24 a.m. Sunday for fourth-offense operating while intoxicated, possessing marijuana, operating after revocation and operating left of center after police stopped him on County F.



Monroe Police

MONROE - Mackenzie J. Bunker, 22, was injured and transported to the hospital after he crashed his moped at 2:51 a.m. Saturday in the 200 block of 12th Street. He was cited for second-offense operating while intoxicated, operating after revocation and failure to maintain control. He was released to a responsible party pending court.

• Jeffrey W. Walters, 56, Monroe, was arrested and jailed Sunday in the 1600 block of 11th Street on a warrant for failing to pay child support.



NEW GLARUS Police

NEW GLARUS - On June 29:

• John D. Bak, 49, Monticello, was cited for illegal window tint at 5:51 p.m. after police stopped him in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• Police received a complaint of fireworks being shot off at 8:04 p.m. on Railroad Street at 11th Avenue.

On June 30:

• Adam R. Switzky, 29, New Glarus, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 6:16 p.m. after police stopped him on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 9:55 p.m. with responding to a burglar alarm at a business in the Town of Exeter.

On Wednesday:

• Shane Hartwig, 36, Monroe, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 4:14 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 6th Avenue.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 12:44 a.m. with a traffic stop in the Town of New Glarus.

• Harassment was reported at 11:14 a.m. in the 400 block of 2nd Street.

• Police received a report of suspicious activity at 8 a.m. that alleged an unlocked vehicle was possibly entered the previous evening. No items were reported stolen.

On Thursday:

• April L. Jessen, 37, Freeport, was cited for speeding at 6:10 p.m. after police stopped her in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• A theft from a motor vehicle was reported at 7:06 p.m. in the 300 block of 5th Avenue.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 9:51 p.m. in the 300 block of Heidi Court.

On Friday:

• Stephen W. Witsell, 55, New Glarus, was cited at 3:21 p.m. for not having insurance after police stopped him for a registration violation in the 1000 block of Wis. 69.

On Saturday:

• Katelyn M. St. Peter, 25, DePere, was cited for illegal window tint at 3:18 p.m. after police stopped her in the 1100 block of Wis. 69.

• Michael Tubbs, 39, Madison, was cited for illegal window tint at 3:55 p.m. after police stopped him in the 1200 block of Wis. 69.

• David F. Burnett, 40, New Glarus, was cited for operating while suspended at 5:45 p.m. after police stopped him in the 10 block of 6th Avenue.

• Karson M. Feller, 22, Verona, was cited at 7:55 p.m. for a seatbelt violation after police stopped him in the 1000 block of 5th Street.

• Suzanne A.K. Hogan, 47, Dodgeville, was cited for operating while suspended, not having insurance and a registration violation at 10:30 p.m. after police stopped her in the 1200 block of Wis. 69.

• Police assisted the Belleville Police Department at 1:56 a.m. with a report of a person threatening others with a gun in Belleville.

• A kitten at large was reported at 11:36 a.m. in the 900 block of 8th Street. The kitten was taken to the police department.

• Police assisted the Green County Sheriff's Department at 10 p.m. with a traffic stop in the N7500 block of Wis. 69.

• A fireworks complaint was reported at 11 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue.

• A fireworks complaint was reported at 11:12 p.m. in the 1400 block of 2nd Street.



Green County Sheriff

MONROE - Andrew M. McCauley, 19, and Thomas G. Eithun, 19, both of Oregon, were cited for age 17-20 possessing or consuming alcohol at 1:03 a.m. Sunday on Wis. 92 at Glenway Road in the Town of Brooklyn. They were passengers in a car driven by Isaac B. Jacobs, 19, Oregon, that went into a ditch after Jacobs failed to negotiate a turn. No injuries were reported. The car sustained severe damage and was towed. William F. Frauchiger, 19, Oregon, came to pick them up and was also cited for age 17-20 possessing or consuming alcohol. All subjects were released pending court.



Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON - On Friday:

• Desiree Cotter, 24, Darlington, was cited at 3:37 p.m. for speeding on Wis. 81 in the Town of Lamont.

• Natasha Weber, 21, Argyle, was cited at 4:10 p.m. for speeding after police stopped her on Wis. 81 in the Town of Argyle.

• Kelly Grassman, 40, Madison, was cited at 7:44 p.m. for speeding after police stopped her on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

• Addison Holderman, 19, Durand, Ill., was cited at 8:05 p.m. for speeding following a traffic stop on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

• Donald Silber, 28, Milwaukee, was cited at 8:33 p.m. for speeding and a registration violation after police stopped him on Wis. 11 in Benton.

• Police assisted the Darlington Police Department at 8:01 a.m. with a call on Wells Street in Darlington.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 7:30 p.m. on Lake Road in the Town of Argyle. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources assisted.

• A noise complaint was reported at 8:35 p.m. on Main Street in Gratiot.

• A domestic dispute was reported at 11:12 p.m. on County J in Benton.

• A noise complaint was reported at 11:48 p.m. on County Y in Woodford.

• Police responded at 11:50 p.m. to Lake Joy Campground in Belmont for a 911 hang-up.

On Saturday:

• Alexa Ann Hardyman, 20, Darlington, was cited for failing to stop at a stop sign at 5:32 p.m. after police stopped her on County D in the Town of Lamont.

• Zachery A. Brown, 22, Monona, was cited for operating after suspension at 6:04 p.m. after police stopped him on Wells Street in Darlington.

• Tanner A. Farrey, 22, Shullsburg was arrested and jailed at 7 p.m. on warrants issued by the Lafayette County Sheriff's Department.

• Rachel Renee Simpson, 21, Brodhead, was cited at 9:36 p.m. for passing in a no-passing zone after police stopped her on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington.

• Darin G. Thompson, 44, Winslow, Ill., was cited for first-offense operating while intoxicated and unsafe backing at 11:07 p.m. after he allegedly hit a Yellowstone Lake State Park vehicle.

• Police assisted the Darlington Police Department at 1:34 a.m. with a call on Kennedy Drive in Darlington.

• Criminal damage to property was reported at 8:19 a.m. on River Road in the Town of Argyle.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 8:19 a.m. on Wis. 11 in the Town of Shullsburg.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 12:38 p.m. on Ingwell Road in the Town of Blanchardville.

• Police responded at 12:46 p.m. to a call on Spruce Street in Argyle.

• Animal neglect was reported at 4:15 p.m. on Galena Street in Argyle.

• Police removed an unwanted subject from a residence on Truth Street in Shullsburg at 7:47 p.m.

• A hit-and-run was reported at 8:25 p.m. at the Belmont Travel Center on Mound Avenue.

• Police assisted Lafayette County Human Services at 9:12 p.m. with transporting someone to detox in Madison.

• Police received a complaint of fireworks being shot off at 9:47 p.m. on Ingwell Road in the Town of Blanchard.

On Sunday:

• Tyler Bickford, 19, Colona, Ill., was cited for speeding at 6:17 p.m. after police stopped him on U.S. Hwy. 151 in the Town of Belmont.

• Nathan Reichling, 34, Darlington, was arrested and jailed for felony battery, second-offense operating while intoxicated and resisting arrest at 7:30 p.m. after police responded to a report of a domestic dispute on County G in the Town of Willow Springs. The Darlington Police Department, Rural Medical Ambulance and K-9 units from the Green and Iowa County Sheriff's Departments assisted.

• Police assisted the Shullsburg Police Department at 1:25 a.m. with a call on Mineral Street in Shullsburg.

• A theft was reported at 2:20 a.m. on West Milwaukee Street in Argyle.

• Police assisted the Darlington Police Department at 2:26 a.m. with a call on Woodbury Street in Darlington.

• Police assisted the Monroe Police Department at 4:22 a.m. with a call on County F in the Town of Darlington.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 4:30 a.m. on East Main Street in Benton.

• A domestic dispute was reported at 8:41 a.m. on West Mound Avenue in Belmont.

• A theft was reported at 8:45 a.m. on East Main Street in Benton.

• Police responded at 11:59 a.m. to a call on East Truth Street in Shullsburg.

• A traffic complaint was reported at 5:37 p.m. on Wis. 81 in the Town of Darlington.

• Suspicious activity was reported at 6:02 p.m. on Bennett Street in the Town of New Diggins.

• Police responded at 6:17 p.m. to a 911 hang up on South Galena Street in South Wayne.

• A domestic dispute was reported at 8:14 p.m. on Hazel Street in Belmont. The Belmont Police Department assisted.

• Police responded at 8:27 p.m. to a call on South Kennedy Street in Shullsburg.
