ROSCOE, Ill. - Michael Ralph Yaun, age 66, passed away on Wednesday, November 28, 2012 at his home. He was born on May 23, 1946 at St. Clare Hospital at Monroe, WI to his parents Ralph and Margaret (Fiez) Yaun. Michael attended New Glarus High School. On September 16, 1965 he was united in marriage to Betty Jean Zimmerman at the Swiss United Church of Christ in New Glarus. Michael worked for thirty one years at Chrysler in Belvidere, IL with the last ten years at Danaher Motion in Marengo, IL until his retirement. He was a member of UAW Local 1268 and Mooselodge #295 in Belvidere. Michael enjoyed riding his Harley-Davidson, gardening, and listening to Elvis. He was also an avid Packer fan. But, most of all Michael loved being with his family.

Michael is survived by his wife Betty; three children Todd (Rhonda) Yaun, Tina (Aaron) Guske, and Troy (Valerie) Yaun; five grandchildren Christopher, Cole, Caitlin, Nicholas, and Ainsley. He is further survived by his brothers Roger (Debra) Yaun, Jeff (Debra) Yaun, Mark (Cindy) Yaun, Randy (Lori) Yaun, and Bruce (Sally) Yaun; sisters Ruth (Don) Suchla, Barb (Mike) Wayland, and Terri (Bill Beckwith) Yaun.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Steven Yaun, and father-in-law Glenn Zimmerman.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 7, 2012 at Zwingli United Church of Christ, 416 E. Lake Ave., Monticello, WI with the Rev. Mary Gafner officiating with burial in the Swiss Church Cemetery, New Glarus, WI.

Relatives and friends may call from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the Buck-Wheeler-Hyland Funeral Home, 218 West Hurlbut, Belvidere, IL and from 9:30 a.m. until time of service on Friday, December 7, 2012 at the Zwingli United Church of Christ in Monticello, WI.

A memorial fund has been established.
