Matthew J. Stark age 24 of San Francisco, California, died Sunday, September 14, 2008 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born January 9, 1984 in San Francisco, CA the son of Thomas and Margaret (Devey) Stark and graduated from Lowell High School in San Francisco in 2002. Matthew worked in Customer Service at Safeway Grocery Store in San Francisco.

Surviving are his father, Thomas (Marie Oxoby) Stark of San Francisco, CA; mother, Margaret Taylor of Isle of Wright, England; brothers, Aaron (Kendra Boeck) Mazahreh of Monroe, WI, Philip (Michaela) Mazahreh of Monroe, WI, Issa (Nichole) Mazahreh of Monroe, WI, and Tommy Stark of Long Beach, CA; grandparents, Gwynn and Lorna Devey of Lake Wales, FL; sister, Joelle Oxoby; uncles, Joe (Linda) Stark of San Francisco, CA, Joe Stark, and Bruce Barton; aunt, Mary (Bruce) Barton of Concord, CA; nieces, Karlye, Kyla, and Samiah; nephews, Hunter, Preston, Evan, Brayden, Marcus, and Elijah; cousins, Joey and Sierra Stark. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Thomas and Argentina Stark.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, September 19, 2008 at SHRINER-HAGER-GOHLKE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Eric Erickson officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery in Monroe.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home.
