Laurel J. Bruehlman, age 53 of Argyle, WI, passed away Tuesday, March 2, 2010, at her parents home in Argyle following a courageous battle with Leiomyasarcoma. She was born January 4, 1957, in Monroe, WI, the daughter of John and JoAnne (Isely) Bruehlman. She graduated from Argyle High School in 1975. Laurel lived in Monroe, where she worked at Kittelson, Barry, and Ross Law Firm until moving to Milwaukee, WI, in the late 70's, where she worked for Vanden Heuvel, and Dineen Law Offices as a paralegal for 19 years. Laurel returned to Argyle in 1996. She was united in marriage to Dale Jelinek on January 4, 1998, at Cloud Nine Wedding Chapel in South Lake Tahoe, NV. She worked for Green County Child Support Agency until 2000. Laurel worked for the State of Wisconsin Child Support Enforcement Association until her health forced her to leave.

Laurel is survived by her husband: Dale at home; her parents: John (JoAnne) Bruehlman of rural Argyle; her father and mother-in-law: Clyde (Marlys) Jelinek of Milwaukee; three brothers: Loren (Kristi) Bruehlman, Jim Bruehlman, and Gerald (Michele) Bruehlman, all of Argyle; one sister: Christine (David) Goff of Fairbanks, AK; two brothers-in-law: Jay (Jill) Jelinek and Daniel (Sherry) Jelinek, both of Milwaukee; two sisters-in-law: Laura (Joe) Bunich of Fort Wayne, IN, and Karen (Dave) Garrison of Milwaukee and 19 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her maternal and paternal grandparents; and one sister-in-law: Marjean Bruehlman.

Laurel was a member of Cornerstone Lutheran Church in Argyle and Apparitions Motorcycle Club of New Glarus. She loved to ride her Harley, snow ski, travel abroad and make quilts.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Cornerstone Lutheran Church, 1540 Old Highway 81, Argyle, WI, with Rev. Ron Brubakken officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery in rural Argyle. A visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Friday, March 5, 2010, at Cornerstone Lutheran Church.
