PECATONICA — Illinois State Police District 16 Commander, Lieutenant Joseph Blanchette, has announced District 16 enforcement figures and activity for the month of November. 

Illinois State Police District 16 Troopers issued 658 total citations and 592 written warnings during the month of November. Speed violations accounted for 265 citations. Seventy-three citations were issued for occupant restraint violations and 61 enforcement documents were issued for distracted driving violations. 

Troopers investigated 38 traffic crashes and assisted 59 motorists. One hundred thirty-six commercial motor vehicle inspections were completed with 18 drivers and/or vehicles being placed out of service.

Troopers made 11 arrests for driving under the influence and 32 criminal arrests. Eight enforcement documents were issued for Scott’s Law violations.  

District 16, which encompasses Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Winnebago and Boone Counties, had six traffic fatalities in November.
