PECATONICA, Ill. — Illinois State Police District 16 Commander, Captain Joseph Blanchette, has announced District 16 enforcement figures and activity for the month of July.
Illinois State Police District 16 Troopers issued 338 total citations and 397 written warnings during the month of July. Speed violations accounted for 200 citations. Eighteen citations were issued for occupant restraint violations and 23 enforcement documents were issued for distracted driving violations.
Troopers investigated 27 traffic crashes and assisted 65 motorists. One hundred thirteen commercial motor vehicle inspections were completed with 11 drivers and/or vehicles being placed out of service.
Troopers made 7 arrests for driving under the influence and 11 criminal arrests. Nine enforcement documents were issued for Scott’s Law violations.
District 16, which encompasses Jo Daviess, Stephenson, Winnebago, and Boone Counties, had 3 traffic fatalities in July.
