EVANSVILLE - Helen Josephine Schneeberger age 96 died Monday November 5, 2012 at home. She was born on November 7, 1915 on the farm in Green County the daughter of Albert and Lena (Machler) Elmer Sr. Helen married Hans Schneeberger Sr. on March 19, 1936 in Freeport Il. and he preceded her in death on December 29, 1997. She was a member of the Cooksville Lutheran Church, and enjoyed quilting for several years. She liked to watch the wildlife on the farm especially the birds. She was an avid Green Bay Packers fan and was able to watch the Packers beat the Arizona Cardinals with her family celebrating her up coming birthday. Helen was a hard working farm wife and devoted her life to raising her family with her strong personality and faith. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her children; Don (Joan) Schneeberger of Blue Mounds, Ginny (Willard) Schuld of Hixton, Mel (Jane) Schneeberger of Evansville, Elaine (Paul) Anderson of Stone Lake, Hans (Mary) Schneeberger JR. of Oregon, Delbert (Nancy) Schneeberger of Cambridge, Randel (Joey) Schneeberger of Monroe, Timothy (Shirley) Schneeberger of Postville, eleven grand children, nine great-grandchildren with one on the way, a sister Kathryn Jorenby, a brother Walter (Jean) Elmer, several nieces and nephews, a close family friend Robert (Sherri) Haakenson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter, three infant grand sons, two sisters Bertha Wells, Rose Gempler, and a brother Albert Elmer Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday at the Cooksville Lutheran Church Porter Township with Reverend Katya Ouchakof officiating. Burial will take place in Hillcrest Cemetery Albany Wisconsin. A visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012 at the Ward Funeral Home Evansville and from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday the church.
