Harry E. Haman of Oroville, CA, formerly of Monroe, WI passed away August 7, 2017 in Oroville. Harry was born on December 23, 1924 to Eugene and Alice (Benkert) Haman-Blum in rural Green County.

Harry served during WWII, joining the U.S. Navy, he was honorably discharged then later enlisted in the Army/Air Force and was honorably discharged. Harry married June Gilbertson, they raised 4 daughters. Harry was a long-haul truck driver for many years traveling the country, and moved to Oroville to work on the Oroville Dam. He later met and married Evelyn Lawver.

Harry loved the outdoors, and especially loved to take long walks and hike the foothills of the Sierra-Nevada Mountains. Harry was an avid reader and especially enjoyed books about the Old West, the Civil War and U.S. history.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents, his step-father William Blum, his wife Evelyn, sisters Dorothy "Big Dot" Haman, Carol Bahn, brothers Herbert and Roy Haman, sister-in-law's Dorothy Haman, Verla Haman and son-in-law Jim Krueger.

Harry is survived by a sister, Kay (Bob) Peterson of New Richmond, WI, daughters Linda Krueger of Brodhead, WI Carla Gunderson of LaCrosse, WI Sandra Haman of Marion, IN and Catherine (Brad) Bennett of Blanchardville, WI. He is further survived by eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
