LIVINGSTON - Fritz Argall passed away on Friday Jan. 11, 2013 at St. Mary's Hospital in Madison, WI. Fritz was born on Sept. 6, 1943 in Dodgeville, WI the son of Alfred and Madge (Brewer) Argall. He married Maureen Bloom in 1963.
Fritz graduated from Iowa-Grant High School in 1961. After graduation he was engaged in farming for eight years. He later went to work for ABS, Tri-State and Eastern Iowa Breeders until fulfilling his passion of buying and selling livestock. He loved working with animals and enjoyed the many people he met through the years. Fritz also was involved with the showing of livestock especially at the WI State Fair, which he was a part of for over 30 years. He adored his children and grandchildren and loved taking them to the sale barn and supporting all of their endeavors. Fritz liked to travel and visit his children along with going to various livestock shows throughout the country. He was an avid football and NASCAR fan and was very fond of all his relationships with his many friends throughout the area.
Fritz is survived by his four children; Katherine "Kay" (Phil Mak) Argall of Jacksonville, FL, Karla (Jerry) Chamberlin of Scottsdale, AZ, Kelly Argall of Phoenix, AZ, and John (Renee) Argall of South Wayne, WI, ten grandchildren; Taylor, Memee, and Paige Mak, Nathan and Hannah Chamberlin, Chloe Argall, and Riley, Abby, Colby, and Brody Argall, two brothers; Tom (Lois) Argall of Muscoda, and Richard (Barb) Argall of Belmont, a sister Jackie O'Flahrity of Madison, step-brothers; Jerry Schell of Blue River, Terry (Diane) Schell of Texas, and Lonnie (Millie) Schell of Boscobel, step-sister, Judy (Marv) Paulsen of Plymouth, WI, and a step-sister-in-law Pat Schell of Richland Center.
Fritz was preceded in death by his parents, brother-in-law Tom O'Flahrity, three nephews; Michael O'Flahrity, Thomas O'Flahrity Jr., and Richard Argall Jr., step-mother Izetta Argall, and step-brother Gary Schell.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday Jan. 17, 2013 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort, WI with burial to follow in the Graceland Cemetery in Mineral Point, WI. Friends and family may call from 4-8:00 P.M. on Wednesday evening Jan. 16, 2013 at the Soman-Larson Funeral Home in Montfort and from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at the funeral home on Thursday morning.
