DARLINGTON - The Benton Fire Department responded to a fire reportedly from a lightening strike around 11 p.m. Tuesday in a wooded area on Bennett Road. The fire was reported as being close to a business establishment and nearing an LP tank. The Benton Fire Department was able to extinguish the fire within a short time.
