Daniel R. Niesman, age, 61 of Argyle, Wisconsin died on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. He was born on May 26, 1951 the son of Leo and Kathryn (Schmelzer) Niesman. He was a graduate of Brodhead High School and attended Blackhawk Technical College for 2 years.
Daniel and Karon Knoll were married on July 26, 1975 in Freeport, Illinois. He was employed at Advance Transformer / Orchid for 40 years and currently employed at Wisconsin Cheese Group.
He was a member of the Zilmer Riley American Legion Post #84 and enjoyed bowling, hunting, fishing and spending time with family.
He served 3 years in the U.S. Army.
He is survived by his wife Karon Niesman of Argyle, mother; Kathryn Niesman of Medford, WI; son, Timothy Niesman of Rockford, IL; daughter, Stephanie (Brandon) Witt of Menomonee Falls, WI; brother, Randal (Melody) Niesman of Medford, WI; sister, Bonnie (Jim) Moser of Monroe, and grandson Quintin.
He was predeceased by his father, sisters, Cathryn, and Charlene in infancy.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Shriner-Hager-Gohlke Funeral Home in Monroe with Pastor David Busker officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home .
A memorial fund is being established in Daniel's memory.
