Felonies

• The court Friday sentenced James F. Menehan, 71, Monroe, to 10 months in jail with work release privileges and $2,776 in fines after he pleaded no contest to drunken driving.

He faced up to six years in prison and up to $10,000 in fines as part of the plea agreement for the class H felony.

Court records indicate he was arrested for drunken driving, fifth- or sixth-offense July 15 in Adams township.

• The court Friday sentenced James R. Haas, 23, Brodhead, to 365 days in jail with 310 days credit after revoking his probation for possession of a firearm by a felon.

Haas pleaded no contest in May 2007 for possession of a firearm by a felon, a class G felony. He faced up to 10 years in prison and up to $25,000 in fines. He was sentenced to four years in probation and 120 days in jail.

While on probation he smoked marijuana and violated the conditions of his probation.

• The court Friday sentenced Keith W. Brown, 25, Oregon, to three years in prison with 605 days credit after revoking his probation for burglary.

Brown was convicted of three counts of burglary, each a class F felony, in Dec. 2004 for crimes that occurred in August 2003. He faced more than 37 years in prison. He was sentenced to six years probation.

While on probation he used cocaine and violated the terms of his probation.

• The court Friday scheduled a March 16 district attorney conference for Kimberly D. Kannenberg, 43, Monroe, who pleaded not guilty to possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Court records allege she had two small chunks of crack cocaine and two smoking devices in her possession Feb. 20 in Albany.

She is charged with possession of cocaine, a class I felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, an unclassified misdemeanor. She faces more than three years in prison and more than $10,000 in fines, if convicted.

She remains free on a $3,600 signature bond and a $400 cash bond.

Misdemeanors

• The court Friday entered into a one-year deferred prosecution agreement with David L. Webb, 17, Monroe, who pleaded no contest to resisting an officer.

He faced up to nine months and up to $10,000 in fines for the class A misdemeanor. The court will dismiss the charges in one year if he complies with the terms of the agreement.

Court records indicate he failed to pull over after he signaled by an officer Aug. 30 in Spring Grove and Jefferson townships.
