Monticello Police 

On March 8: 

●  A barking dog complaint was reported at 6:41 a.m. in the 100 block of South Main Street. This is under review. 

●  Police responded for a vehicle unlock at 8:13 a.m. in the 300 block of East Coates Avenue. 

On March 9:

●  Police were stopped by a parent of a juvenile in regard to their driving habits at 7 a.m. in the 300 block of South Main Street. The juvenile was counseled. 


Monroe Police

On March 19:

●  At 12:50 AM, officers arrested Maureen A. Dunn (40), Monroe, following a traffic offense stop in the 1700 block of STH 69. Dunn was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and was also cited for non-registration of a vehicle and unsafe lane deviation. Dunn was confined in the Green County Jail pending a court appearance. 

●  At 11:31 AM, officers were called to a single vehicle accident with reported injuries in the 700 block of 19th Street. Investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Sandra L. Gobeli (71), Monroe, traveling west on 19th Street, drove through the non paved verge at the dead end, crossed the northbound lanes of STH 69, crossed the center median, crossed the south bound lanes of STH 69, jumped the curb on the west side of the highway, then left the roadway and came to rest in a parking lot. Gobeli was transported by Green County EMS for non life threatening injuries. There were moderate vehicle damages. Gobeli was cited for illegal crossing of a divided highway and failure to maintain control of a motor vehicle, and was release pending a court appearance.

On March 20:

●  At 12:33 AM, officers arrested Wendy J. Saxby Bansley (47), Monroe, following a traffic offense stop at West 8th Street and 6th Avenue West. Saxby Bansley was charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-1st offense, and was also cited for operating without two headlights, and was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance. 

●  At 2:01 AM, officers were called to a single vehicle accident where the vehicle left the scene of the crash at 20th Street and 13th Avenue. Officers searched the area and were able to locate the offending vehicle and operator in the 1300 block of 20th Street. Investigation indicated that a vehicle operated by Julio Vazquez Garcia (20), Monroe, was operating westbound on 20th Street when Vazquez Garcia lost control of the vehicle, left the roadway to the north, collided with a street sign, and finally fled the scene. No injuries were reported, and there were moderate vehicle damages. Vazquez Garcia was arrested and charged with operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated-2nd offense, and was also cited for failure to maintain control of vehicle, operating without a valid driver’s license, failure to notify police of an accident, hit and run to property adjacent to the roadway, operating without insurance and operating without an ignition interlock system. Vazquez Garcia was released to a responsible person pending a court appearance.


Green County

On March 17:

●  At approximately 2:20 AM, Deputies and the Brodhead Police Department, responded to the W500 block of Mary Ln., Town of Decatur, for a report of an ongoing physical altercation. Investigation resulted in Justin D. Kainz, 30 of Brodhead, and Trevor L. Shrader, 35 of Brodhead, both being arrested for Disorderly Conduct. Justin was placed on a Probation Hold by the Wisconsin Department of Corrections and also attained a second count of Disorderly Conduct while being transported to the Green County Jail. Both subjects were jailed pending their initial court appearances or posting of their bond.

●  At approximately 1:38 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W5200 block of State Highway 11, Town of Monroe.  Investigation resulted in the operator, Carley L. Muenchow, 29 of Brodhead, being cited for Operating While Revoked due to OWI, Failure to Install Ignition Interlock Device and for speed (82 MPH in a 55 MPH zone). Carley was released with a future court appearance. 

On March 18:

●  At approximately 7:47 PM, Deputies conducted a traffic stop in the W2300 block of State Highway 11, Town of Spring Grove.  Investigation resulted in the operator, Jose Lopez, 31 of Brodhead, being cited for Operating Without a Valid License — 2nd Offense within 3 years, and speeding (78 MPH in a 55 MPH zone). Jose was released with a future court date.

On March 20: 

●  At 3:44 AM, Deputies performed a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the N700 block of State Highway 69, Town of Clarno. Investigations resulted in the driver, Jadyn A Ramos Uline, 18, of Freeport, being arrested for Operating with a Restricted Controlled Substance (1st offense). Ramos Uline was additionally cited for speeding. Ramos Uline was released to a responsible party pending court.

●  At approximately 10:23 AM, Kevin J Skram, 34, of New Glarus, turned himself in to the Green County Sheriff’s Department on an active probation warrant. Skram was taken into custody and incarcerated at the Green County Jail.

 

Lafayette County Sheriff 

DARLINGTON — On March 15: 

●  Livestock on the roadway was reported at 2:30 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Gratiot. 

●  A 911 misdial was reported at 5:57 a.m. on South Van Buren Street in Benton.
