Lafayette County Sheriff

DARLINGTON — On July 11:

•  A deputy assisted a motorist at 12:26 a.m. on Mullen Road, White Oak Springs Township.

•  Deputies responded at 1:46 a.m. to Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township for a domestic dispute. Kory J. Denman, 40, Wisconsin Dells, was arrested and brought to the Lafayette County Jail for bail jumping, criminal damage to property, disorderly conduct and resisting. Denman was booked and remains in custody.

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 8:31 a.m. on Spore Road, Lamont Township.

•  A deputy responded at 2:22 p.m. to Lake Road, Fayette Township for a 911 misdial.

•  A civil dispute was reported at 3:49 p.m. to Main Street, Blanchardville.

•  John R. Anderson, 54, Monticello, was cited for passing in a no passing zone at 6:54 p.m. on Wis. 81, Darlington Township.

•  A deputy assisted a citizen at 9:44 p.m. to West Estey Street, Shullsburg.

•  A deputy responded at 10:40 p.m. to North Park Street, Belmont, for a check welfare.

•  A deputy responded at 11:29 p.m. to North Washington Street, Belmont, for a 911 misdial.

On July 13:

 An animal running at large was reported at 2:43 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

• Zacharia Z. Gamble, 22, Freeport, was cited for speeding at 9:17 a.m. on Wis. 81, Town of Seymour.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 9:31 a.m. on County D, Town of Wayne.

• A disabled vehicle was reported at 10:34 a.m. on Wis. 23, Darlington.

• A deputy responded at 12:05 p.m. to Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs, for a welfare check.

• James T. Stimpert, 49, Cedarville, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 5:40 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• Cody R. Blosch, 16, South Wayne, was cited for speeding at 5:57 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• Harassment was reported at 6:19 p.m. on Lacey Road, Town of Wayne.

• Candace A. Hogan, 27, Dubuque, Iowa, was cited for speeding at 6:24 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• Property damage related to weather conditions was reported at 8:41 p.m. on Wis. 11, Town of Gratiot.

• Property damage related to weather conditions was reported at 9:05 p.m. on Riverside Road, Town of Wiota.

• A noise complaint was reported at 11:16 p.m. on Lake Road, Town of Fayette.

On July 14:

• Cody D. Smith, 24, Bangor, and David E. Barrett, 33, Beatrice, Nebraska, were arrested on charges of disorderly conduct after deputies responded at 1:20 a.m. to Main Street in Darlington to assist the Darlington Police Department with a disorderly conduct complaint. Both men were taken to the Lafayette County Jail and later released on a cash bond.

• Cali M. Hocking, 26, Darlington, was arrested on a probation and parole warrant at 3:02 a.m. on Galena Street in Darlington. She was jailed.

• An animal injured on the roadway was reported at 6:30 a.m. on Wis. 78, Town of Argyle.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 7 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Willow Springs.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:02 a.m. on County F, Town of Blanchard.

• Livestock on the roadway was reported at 8:59 a.m. on County G, Town of Willow Springs.

• Jeffery A. Stange, 65, Lombard, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 9:57 a.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• A deputy responded at 1:01 p.m. to South Judgement Street in Shullsburg to assist with a vehicle unlock.

• A deputy responded at 2:12 p.m. to Park Avenue in Benton for a welfare check.

• Zachery R. Bowen, 29, Darlington, was arrested on a valid warrant at 3:21 p.m. on Galena Street in Darlington. He was jailed.

• A deputy responded at 6:43 p.m. to Village Road, Town of Gratiot, for a 911 misdial.

• Deputies assisted Darlington Police at 7:46 p.m. to East Louisa Street in Darlington with a welfare check.

• Deputies responded at 9:50 p.m. to South Henry Street in Shullsburg for a welfare check.

• Blake M. Winger, 39, Evansville, was cited for speeding at 11:41 p.m. on Wis. 23, Town of Darlington.

• Jonathon M. Parker, 18, Monroe, was cited for malicious damage to property at 11:51 p.m. on County Y, Town of Wiota.

•  A suspicious person was reported at 3:03 a.m. on U.S. 151 in Belmont Township.

•  A hit-and-run crash was reported at 3:03 a.m. on County D in Wayne Township.

•  Criminal damage to property was reported at 10:46 a.m. on County F in Blanchard Township.

•  Arnold F. Rebout, 61, Kewanee, Illinois, was cited for occupants on an ATV riding without a seatbelt at 11:19 a.m. on Wardsville Road, Darlington Township.

•  A deputy assisted Sheboygan Police at 2:19 p.m. on Sheldon Street in Gratiot. 

•  A domestic disturbance was reported at 2:39 p.m. on Holland Road in Seymour Township.

•  Makenzie F. Hard, 24, Platteville, was cited for speeding at 4:29 p.m. on Wis. 23, Darlington Township.

•  A civil dispute was reported at 4:43 p.m. on Wayne Center Road in Wayne Township.

•  A deputy came across a disabled vehicle at 4:47 p.m. on Roper Road, Darlington Township.

•  A deputy assisted with a vehicle unlock at 5:36 p.m. on Breeze Terrace Avenue in Argyle.

•  A deputy assisted Belmont Police with a check welfare at 7:56 p.m. on North Mound Avenue in Belmont.

•  Arnoldo Barrientos, 39, Naperville, Illinois, was cited at 12:49 a.m. for operating without a valid license on County W, White Oak Springs Township.

•  Alyssa R. Barrientos, 25, Naperville, Illinois, was cited at 1:19 a.m. for speeding on County W, Gratiot Township.

•  A deputy responded at 4:50 p.m. to Wis. 11, Gratiot Township, for a welfare check.

•  A deputy responded at 5:01 p.m. to East Main Street, Benton, for a welfare check.  

•  An injured animal was reported at 7:37 p.m. on County M, Wiota Township.

•  A disorderly conduct complaint was reported at 6:47 p.m. on South Warren Street, South Wayne. 

•  Lindsey E. Lee, 37, Shullsburg, was cited at 6:54 p.m. for no proof of insurance on County E, Darlington Township. Darlington Police Department assisted.

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 7:18 p.m. on Wis. 11, Shullsburg Township.

•  Cassandra P. Walsh, 23, Platteville, was cited at 7:47 p.m. for speeding on County P, Gratiot Township.

•  Zachary D. Hudson, 25, South Wayne, was cited at 10:41 p.m. for operating without insurance, operating without two headlights, and operating while under the influence (first offense) on County D, Wayne Township. 

•  Ira L. Hatcher Jr., 30, Platteville, was cited at 10:58 p.m. for no proof of insurance on County XX, Belmont Township.

•  An erratic driver was reported at 6:57 p.m. on Wis. 11, Shullsburg Township.

•  Selma J. Wright, 64, Durand, Illinois, was cited for speeding at 7:16 p.m. on Wis. 23, Darlington Township.

•  A deputy responded for a check welfare at 7:33 p.m. on Hazel Street, Belmont. Belmont Police Department assisted.

•  An animal problem was reported at 9:08 p.m. on County O, Shullsburg Township.

•  Steven E. Rosario, 46, Argyle was cited for speeding at 9:10 p.m. on Wis. 81, Lamont Township.

•  Deputies assisted the Darlington Police Department with a disorderly conduct complaint at 9:29 p.m. on East Street, Darlington.

•  Deputies assisted the Iowa County Sheriff’s Office with a check welfare at 12:48 a.m. on Lake Joy Lane, Belmont Township. Belmont Police Department assisted.

•  A disabled vehicle was reported at 6:03 a.m. on Wis. 11, Shullsburg Township.

•  Livestock on the road was reported at 7:58 a.m. on Ames Road, Darlington Township.

•  Dogs running at large were reported at 8:22 a.m. on Ames Road, Darlington Township.

•  An animal injured on the road was reported at 8:59 a.m. on Wis. 23, Willow Springs Township. 

•  A deputy assisted the Belmont Police Department with a domestic dispute at 9:27 a.m. on North Penn Street, Belmont.

•  A deputy responded for a check welfare at 12:02 p.m. on DeBuhr Lane, Elk Grove Township.

•  Ashlee N. Bainbridge, 24, Darlington was cited for speeding at 4:31 p.m. on Wis. 81, Seymour Township.

•  An animal bite was reported at 5:28 p.m on County D, Fayette Township.

•  Rachael M. Burmeister, 41, Argyle was cited for operating after revocation at 5:33 p.m. on Wis. 23, Shullsburg Township. Owner of the vehicle, Bryan S. Burmesiter, 31, Argyle, was cited for allowing an unauthorized person to drive. Burmeister was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where she was booked and released. 

•  An animal problem was reported at 5:37 p.m. on Whiteside Road, Wiota Township.

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 6:38 p.m. on Wis. 11, New Diggings Township.

•  An animal injured on the road was reported at 7:26 p.m. on County W, Monticello Township.

• A deputy responded for a check welfare at 8:12 p.m. on Deer Brook Lane, Blanchard Township. 

•  Deputies responded for a check welfare at 11:02 p.m. on Wis. 11, Shullsburg.

On July 20:

•  Deputies assisted Darlington Police at 10:15 a.m. on Galena Street in Darlington with a check welfare.

•  Harassment was reported at 10:27 a.m. on West Water Street in Shullsburg. 

•  Livestock on the road was reported at 12:11 p.m. on Spring Brook Road, Wiota Township.

•  An animal problem was reported at 2:50 p.m. on Furnace Hill Road in Willow Springs Township.

•  A traffic hazard was reported at 6:42 p.m. on Village Road in Gratiot.

•  A deputy assisted Darlington Police at 9:12 p.m. on Division Street in Darlington for a check welfare.

•  A deputy responded at 10 p.m. to West Liberty Street in Belmont for a 911 misdial.

On July 21;

•  A deputy responded at 4:30 a.m. to East Milwaukee Street in Argyle for an unsecure premise.

•  A hit and run was reported at 9:08 a.m. to Monroe Street in Argyle for a hit and run.

•  An animal problem was reported at 2:17 p.m. on South McKnight Street in South Wayne.

•  A hit-and-run was reported at 3:23 p.m. on West Center Street in South Wayne.

•  A deputy responded at 8:06 p.m. to South Lafayette Street in Argyle for check welfare.

•  Deputies responded at 9:04 p.m. to County D, Wayne Township for check welfare. South Wayne First and Green County EMS assisted. Kyle E. Lehman, 33, South Wayne, was arrested for disorderly conduct. Lehman was transported to the Lafayette County Jail where he was booked and later posted bond.

•  A deputy responded at 10:16 p.m. to East Truth Street in Shullsburg for check welfare.

On July 22:

•  A deputy responded at 12:43 p.m. to East Peace Street in Shullsburg for a 911 misdial.

•  A traffic hazard was reported at 3:36 p.m. on Wis. 23 in Darlington Township.

•  Theft was reported at 6:58 p.m. on Teasdale Road in White Oak Springs Township.

•  A deputy responded at 7:08 p.m. to County F, Elk Grove Township for a vehicle unlock.

•  A traffic complaint was reported at 7:17 p.m. on Wis. 11 in Shullsburg.


New Glarus Police

NEW GLARUS — On July 9: 

•  Joshua Cuevas-Molina, 20, Madison, and Orlando Lopez Soto, 41, Madison, were both issued citations for disorderly conduct at 4:34 p.m. in the 200 block of Industrial Drive. 

On July 10: 

•  Police found an iphone at 2:37 p.m. in the 500 block 1st Street. The phone was returned to the owner.  

•  A black and white drone was reported lost at 3:02 p.m. in New Glarus.

•  Police assisted Belleville Police at 11:10 p.m. with an uncooperative, intoxicated and reported suicidal subject.  The Verona Police also assisted. 

On July 11:

•  Unsupervised children were reported at 11:07 a.m. in the 400 block of 8th Street.

•  James A. Bruehlman, 58, Argyle, was cited for a seatbelt violation at 7:15 p.m. on Wis. 69 at 11th Avenue.

•  Stacy L. Austin, 31, New Glarus, was cited for disorderly conduct after police responded to a 911 call at 8:15 p.m. in the 500 block of 14th Avenue.

On July 12:

•  Police responded at 5:38 p.m. to the 600 block 2nd Avenue for a medical call.  

•  New Glarus Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with checking on a group of subjects walking and yelling at 10:57 p.m. in the N8800 County O. No one was located.   

On July 13: 

•  A parking complaint was reported at 8 a.m. in the 100 block 4th Avenue. Contact was made with the owners of the vehicles and they were moved so a tent could be erected.  

•  Police received a complaint at 5:21 p.m. that cat(s) are using the Candy Cane Park playground area as a bathroom. The caller had no description of the cat(s).  Citizens are reminded that animals are not allowed in the parks and even cats have to be kept on your own property and not allowed to run at large.   

•  Police responded at 5:29 p.m. to the 1400 block of 2nd Street for an active fire alarm.  New Glarus Fire Department also responded. No fire was located.  

•  Police responded at 10:08 p.m. to the 600 block 2nd Avenue for a medical call.

•  A flower pot was removed from the roadway at 11:31 p.m. in the 900 block of 8th Street.

•  Police assisted the street department in removing a large tree from the roadway at 11:46 p.m. in the 1100 block of 2nd Street.

On July 14:

•  Police assisted the Green County Sheriff’s Office with a reported cow on the roadway at 8:07 a.m. in the N9600 block Wis. 69.  

•  Three juveniles were reported at 2:15 p.m. throwing mints at people and spitting at them from the Swiss Church as the people were sitting below. The juveniles were not located.

•  Police found a cell phone at 6:43 p.m. in Village Park. The cell phone was returned to its owner.

•  A lost cell phone was reported at 7:15 p.m. in the 100 block of 4th Avenue. The phone was located and returned to the owner.  

•  Police removed several tree branches at 7:34 p.m.from Kubly Road.

•  Police removed a tree branch at 8:03 p.m. in the 400 block of 12th Avenue.

On July 15:

•  A suspicious person standing behind a tree was reported at 12:36 a.m. at Village Park. The subject was located and said he was making a phone call. He was warned for being in the park after hours.

•  A lost men’s brown wallet was reported at 2:42 p.m.


Green County Sheriff

MONROE — On July 19:

•  Scott D. Jensen, 43, was arrested on a warrant issued by Crawford County at 12:03 a.m. in the 400 block of Mineral Street, Albany.  Jensen was incarcerated in the Green County Jail pending the posting of bond or a court appearance in Crawford County.

•  Michael L. Heidenreich, 31, Monroe, was arrested on a probation violation at 1:28 p.m. at the Green County Probation and Parole Office, Monroe. Heidenreich was incarcerated at the Green County Jail.   

On July 20:

•  Richard E. Thompson, 53, Monroe, was a at 6:04 p.m. at the Green County Sheriff’s Office on a warrant issued through the Department of Corrections. Thompson was incarcerated at the Green County Jail. 

On July 21:

•  A Monroe man was cited for DUI after police responded to a complaint of an erratic driver at 7:52 p.m. in the N4100 block of County N in Monroe. Deputies located the vehicle in the 1700 block of Wis. 69, City of Monroe and stopped the vehicle for a traffic violation. Samuel R. Jorgenson, 25, Monroe, was cited for operating while under the influence (1st offense), operating with PAC, and operating left of center. Jorgenson was released to a responsible party pending court.

                                                                     

Monroe Police

MONROE — On July 19:

• Heath A. Bader, 42, Monroe, was arrested on an outstanding warrant from the Dane County Sheriff’s Office for unpaid child support at 12:08 a.m. in the 1600 block of 9th Street, Monroe. Bader was confined in the Green County Jail. 


Brodhead Police

BRODHEAD — For the week of July 15 to July 21, Brodhead Police reported 56 calls for service, 12 follow ups to incidents, five vehicle registrations, 23 citizen assists, 39 security checks, 14 assists with other agencies, 16 traffic stops, seven 911 calls, one fire call, nine EMS calls and one mental health transport.

On July 15:

•  A fireworks violation was reported at 12:25 a.m. in the 200 block of 12th Street. The violation source wasn’t located.

•  A tree limb reportedly fell onto a vehicle at 4:33 a.m. in the 1000 block of East 4th Avenue. No damage was reported.

•  A 23-year-old High Point, North Carolina, woman was cited for non-registration of auto at 1:09 p.m. in the 100 block of East 3rd Avenue. 

• A code violation was reported at 5:16 p.m. in the 1000 block of West 3rd Avenue. A vehicle and some equipment were blocking a driveway. A warning was issued.

On July 16:

•  Theft was reported at 6:42 a.m. in the 2100 block of 1st Center Avenue. Gas was being siphoned out of a vehicle. This matter remains under investigation.

• Animal neglect was reported at 11:08 a.m. in the 1600 block of 1st Center Avenue for a dog left in an unattended vehicle. The dog was fine.

• A 55-year-old Rockford, Illinois, man was cited for sp eeding at 3:53 p.m. in the 1700 block of East 9th Avenue.

On July 18:

•  A code violation of grass clippings in the roadway was reported at 9:08 a.m. in the 900 block of 17th Street. A warning was issued.

•  A dog at large was reported at 4:47 p.m. in the 500 block of East 6th Avenue. A warning was issued.

•  A dog at large was reported at 6:32 p.m. in the 100 block of 23rd Street. A warning was issued.

•  Trespassing was reported at 7:09 p.m. in the 1100 block of 4th Street. A subject was in an unauthorized area of the business. A warning was issued.
